[The sound of padded paws scrambling across the nonexistent floorboard snaps Adachi back to attention as he breaks his wrist out of Kyoko's grip. He wraps his free arm around Kyoko and pulls her in close to him, his hand clamping itself down over her ear so as to block out what's coming next -

Adachi's bullet hits its mark, knocking Uhrmann back across the floor with a sharp yelp of pain. His breathing grows heavy as he tries to get a better look. Did he kill it...? Doesn't look that way. If anything, he's gone and pissed it off even more. So how the hell is he supposed to -
The former detective grits his teeth as another low rumble makes itself known in the base of his temples. Dammit, not again...! Only wait a second... This doesn't feel a thing like what that witch just put him through. Strangely enough, there's something almost familiar about it...
Another voice starts speaking to him. Not the little girl. Not Hanamura or Seta, but a voice that... that almost sounds like his own.
