[When Hinata had heard that all the other rooms were full, he hadn't thought twice about rooming with Nanami. There were supposed to be at least two beds in every room, it shouldn't have been a problem at all.

It shouldn't... have been a problem at all..........]

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with these guys.

[One bed sits innocently, already made and pristine.

The other lies in a shattered, scorched heap. The remains of the blankets are in tatters, and burn marks line both the wall and the floor.]

...I'll grab a blanket and take the floor.

it's gotta be yogen what other freaks would cause a bed to spontaneously combust

[ There's a puzzled little sound as he suggests taking the floor, followed by something more thoughtful as her eyes trail from one bed to another, then the floor, then Hinata.

Give her a moment to collect her thoughts on the situation, and to ponder the mystery of what even happened to that other bed. ]

... Are there any other blankets?

[ Judging by the look on her face, she already has concerns with this. She doesn't think there are. ]

[Hinata breaks off, feeling the exact point in time that his brain short circuits. Oh crap.

Maybe... Maybe if he pieces together the ruined one...

...I'll figure something out! I'll have to, there's nothing else to be done about it. [He refuses to acknowledge that his face is turning red because that means he's acknowledging what the other option is.] All the other beds are full, so... I'll get creative if I have to.

[Even if "creative" means he's about to go back out to the school and sleep on his desk.]

[ Nanami takes that to mean that she was correct. There aren't any blankets on the floor, and so the only option would be to sleep on a cold and hard floor, or otherwise on an uncomfortable piece of furniture elsewhere. The idea doesn't settle well with her. ]

It's alright. The bed is big enough for two people, so...

[ Big enough, though perhaps a bit of a snug fit. She places her hand over her heart with a smile. Her heart thumps in her chest as she considers the idea, and her own cheeks color a little at the thought of what she's suggesting. ]

One bed is all we need, right?

[ They can share it. ]

[Her name barely escapes him, choked off because- because-]

[The fact that her face is a little pink and she's smiling at him just makes at all so much worse. Ugh. Please his heart is frail.]

We... really shouldn't. If we did that would make it sound like we were... [..........................] -A-anyway, it's just not a good idea! I'd take up so much space in there besides, there's no way you'd be comfortable like that, right?

[ It takes her a moment to process that. Nanami isn't dense in any sense of the word, but a lack of practical experience odes mean it takes her a little longer to pick up on the implications... It would sound like they're together, she thinks, and is sensitive enough to think on the problems that could arise on it.

It is a little embarrassing to think about, but... It's Hinata, so she doesn't need to think that hard on it at all.

That's why she can press on easily, not quite willing to accept the idea of him laying on the floor, ]

It's fine, isn't it? It'll be a little snug, but we can both fit, so it'll be fine...

[ She smiles, trying to put him at ease a little despite her quickening heartbeat, ]

It's just for one night, right...?

[Hinata's brain screeches to halt.

Nanami... [He sighs, pushes a hand through the hair on his forehead. There's something pinched in his expression, but he's still flushed.] It's kind of surreal, you know? The fact this kind of thing doesn't bother you at all.

[He should say no. Even if it doesn't bother her, as a guy that's the right thing to do. Isn't it?

He opens his mouth and what comes out is:]

I guess if it's only one night, then... maybe that's okay...

[Oh you fucking idiot.

The flush burning on his cheekbones fades as Hinata's face starts to pale. His sneaker shifts, like he's trying to decide if he wants to move forward, staring at the bed as if it's about to bite him.]

...Are you sure you don't want to do one last check? See if we can find some spare blankets stored somewhere?
